New Phase I Double Eagle Waterline Ground Breaking
July 21, 2014–
AUI crews broke ground northeast of Carlsbad, near Maljamar, on the New Phase I Double Eagle Waterline. The project will include construction of over 11 miles of 16” water transmission line and over 3.5 miles of 24” water transmission line.
Also included are four pressure reducing/pressure sustaining stations in precast concrete structures and four jack and bore crossings under state and county roads.
The $9.6 million project, scheduled for completion in June of 2015, is owned by the City of Carlsbad and engineered by Molzen-Corbin & Associates.
